Electrical & Lighting Design Solutions with CAD

Our In-House Design Team...

A fundamental part of the project management at Rkb is our ability to produce high quality Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings in-house by our dedicated designers.

CAD is a software technology that allows designers and engineers to create, modify, and analyse virtual models and designs. In the context of Rkb’s services, CAD design specifically refers to using CAD software to create and manipulate drawings that include electrical, lighting, and security systems.

Rkb’s CAD design services involve transforming ideas and concepts into functional designs. This enables us to develop comprehensive and detailed plans for electrical, lighting, and security systems within a project.

Our designs adhere to the standards stipulated by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE). The CIBSE is a professional engineering institution that sets industry standards and guidelines for building services engineering. By ensuring compliance with CIBSE requirements and guidelines, Rkb demonstrates our commitment to adhering to industry standards and delivering high-quality solutions.

As part of the CAD design process, Rkb uses Dialux software for lighting setup and calculations. Dialux is a widely used lighting design software that helps ensure lighting systems meet the required standards and provide optimal illumination. By utilising Dialux, Rkb can perform lighting calculations and create visual representations, such as heatmap images, to demonstrate compliance with CIBSE and present the information to clients.

Once the project is completed, Rkb can modify the CAD drawings to provide an accurate representation of the actual work performed. This modified drawing serves as a reference for future use, allowing clients to have a detailed record of the implemented electrical, lighting, and security systems.
